Hardware and software

To take advantage of using an Ethernet connection in your residence hall room, you must have at minimum a computer that has an Ethernet adapter and is using Windows XP or Apple OS X. The recommended configurations, in the table below, are for this year, and are not guaranteed to meet your computing needs throughout the years of your education at the University. Depending on the software installed on your computer, you may need more RAM or available hard disk space.

Should you require additional assistance in determining if your current computer meets the recommended requirements, or in selecting a new computer, contact the Technology HelpLine at 612-301-4357 (1-HELP).
